History of the establishment
Two steps from Montparnasse, in a neighborhood that is typically Parisian, The “Moulin Vert” is constructed on the site of a former windmill that was replaced by a dance hall in 1848 and like the song says :
Run to the Moulin Vert,
Crazy happy children,
For you, beautiful women
We will always have a plate for you.
The « Paris Elite » romantic such as (Musset, Georges Sand, and Victor Hugo amongst others) use to gather often in this tavern. The place was so charming that everybody took advantage of the great atmosphere and the exquisite food. It’s still the case today!
